This Privacy Policy describes how Rivento Media Kit (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android application published on Google Play. We built the App as an offline-first media toolkit with no advertisements and no account sign-in.
1. Summary
- Your photos, videos, audio, and other files are processed on your device unless you choose to share them with another app.
- We do not operate servers that collect or store your media content.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- The App does not display third-party ads.
2. Information we do not collect
For the current version of the App, we do not require you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or the contents of your images, videos, or audio files for our own databases.
3. On-device processing
In the current release (v1.0.0), available tools include image compression, crop presets, and QR code generation. Additional tools may be added in future updates. All processing runs locally on your phone. Output files may be saved to app cache or shared by you through Android. We do not upload your files to our servers as part of normal App operation.
The App does not require a network connection for its core features and does not declare the
Android INTERNET permission in this release.
4. Permissions
Current release: The App uses the system photo picker to let you choose images. We do not request camera, microphone, or storage permissions in the manifest for v1.0.0.
Future features may request permissions only when needed. You can deny them and still use other tools where possible:
- Photos and videos — only if we add features that need broader media access beyond the system picker.
- Camera — for example, QR scanning in a future update.
- Microphone — for example, a tuner or metronome in a future update.
- Notifications — only for a long-running task you started, if we add that capability.
Permissions are used solely to provide the feature you requested. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
5. Data stored on your device
The App may store data locally, including:
- Temporary working files (for example, compressed images in app cache).
- App settings and preferences (for example, recent tools).
- Files you export or share through other apps — controlled by you.
6. Data retention and deletion
We do not retain your media content on our servers because we do not collect it centrally. Data on your device remains until you delete it or remove the App.
- App cache: Clear via Android Settings → Apps → Rivento → Storage → Clear cache.
- App data: Remove via Clear storage or by uninstalling the App.
- Android backup: If device backup is enabled, Android may back up app data according to your device settings. We do not control cloud backup providers.
To request help deleting data you believe we hold, email us (we typically hold no user media; we will respond within a reasonable time).
7. Third-party services
The App is designed to work without sending your media to us. If you use Share or open a link in your browser, those actions are handled by Android or the third-party app you choose (for example, email or messaging apps), under their own privacy policies.
We do not integrate advertising SDKs. If we add optional crash reporting or analytics in a future update, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety section before release.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Because we do not operate accounts or store your media on our servers, most requests relate to data on your device (which you control) or to information you send us by email. Contact us using the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Google Play and legal compliance
When you download the App from Google Play, Google may collect certain information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Our disclosure in the Play Console “Data safety” section is intended to match this Policy.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it if applicable.
11. Security
Because processing happens on your device, you should protect your phone with a screen lock and keep your operating system updated. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we aim to follow reasonable practices for an offline utility app.
12. International users
The App may be used in different countries. By using the App, you understand that local processing on your device is the primary way your content is handled.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
